Bought new chain, tight fit?

I have a 520 chain I bought off ebay saying it requires that you have stock sprockets. However, the width of the rollers is slightly less than the stock chain it's replacing. It will not recess or seat between the teeth of the sprocket right, and jamming it in there will probably only make noise while riding. Are OEM chains 525 and non-interchangeable with the 520? Are these ebay listings retarded?

Pioneer Avic-Z1

All ZX10R's come stock with a 525 chain, if you want to use a 520 you will need to buy sprockets!

I suspect the ebay ad meant to use the OEM final drive ratio of 17/39, or 17/40 depending on which yr you have.......at any rate yes the OEM chain is a 525 for 04-08 zx10's so the 520 will not fit properly until you purchase 520 sprockets.

Def meant to use stock gearing .... chain width is kinda a given ... I recommend vortex front and rear but with the aluminum rear ... that sprocket outlasted the RK 520 GXW or whatever ... very strong chain

01 ZX6R - Sold
05 ZX6R 636 - Totaled(not by me!) and Rebuilt - Sold
2006 ZX10R - Riding every day
