BMC Race and Street, what's the diff ?

I know there are some subtle differences between the BMC Race and Street but does it require a different map ? Is the breathability that much different ? I didn't see any other posts via a search and nothing substantial googling around. I have a street and wondering if I can use a map that matches up perfectly except the BMC race filter. Thanks in advance.

Only a custom dyno will take advantage of the the 'races' increased airflow. The standard maps were built on the the street filter. The difference would be insignificant to a street bike though.

I've got the race BMC and you can see just by looking thru it that there aint much there for filtration . I do'nt street ride a lot so no big deal . I would'nt recomend it if you ride in an area with lots of air borne nasties . As far as a mapping difference unless you have a lot of other mods that would benefit from the larger air flow I doubt you'll gain much HP

Yes,"there aint much difference" with only replacing the filter!

but if your 10R is replaced with many race parts like mine;you really need the race one...
