If you're planning on using an air shifter you dont need the power commander.

I don’t know a ton on the subject but it’s my understanding an air shifter forces a shift with air pressure and the power commander actually cuts spark and/or fuel to temporarily put the bike in a state of neutral while you manually shift the bike. I think the power commander option offers less wear and tear but the air shifter may be the faster route if you are drag racing and don’t want to shift your weight.

The electric over air shifter that are currently available from company's like MRE/Pingel/APE and such don't work for modern bikes with stick type coils, like the zx-10r. You have to get an upgraded kill box if you are wanting to use the air shifter. Now the PC3 has whats called a quick shifter, but this doesn't shift the bike for you it just cuts ignition so you can shift the bike at full throttle with out the clutch, but its not the same as the air shifter, where you just hit a button and every thing is done for you. Some links below.

The third one down and below will work, because of the Adjustable Electronic Engine Kill Module.

Actually they do work, all you haft to do is tie the 4 positive wires off the stick coils together and run the kill in series with the normally closed connection. Do it all the time and it work great. It kills the power to the coils and they canít spark, the computer grounds the coils to spark so there are no ill effects.
