air-to-fuel ratio

ummm, not to sound like an ig-no-ram-moose or nuthin', but what exactly are the units in the air to fuel ratio?

I hear lots of talk of 13.5 to 1, and whatnot (see link to another thread below), but what type of units are in the numerator and denominator?

And to make this thread completely unserviceable...
Wouldn't the ratio change as your bike increases speed throughout the rev range? I mean, since presumably the faster the revolutions the faster the bike would be moving through the air, and therefore the air being "rammed" in would have (ever so) slightly more pressure, right?

thanks for the link. It is simply ratio of the mass of air to the mass of fuel (as opposed to some sort of volume/density thing which I was conjuring up)

Don't think I'll ever start dropping "lambda"s in a conversation, though.

It also was useful for the theoretical ideal mixture and explained why all our maps run richer than that ideal.

The ZX10R likes to run a little lean, in my bike the best numbers were made at 13.3 to 13.5, if you wer running dry nos the number should be 12.1 to 12.3 when you spray, real simple just buy a wideband (about 250 in ebay) and don't spend money on dynos anymore.
