3rd gen air duct

Since no one seems to know much about fitting the 3rd gen bodywork on a 1st gen, i'm hoping someone can give me some help.

If someone has a 3rd gen air duct loose, i'd really appreciate some dimensions and some pics. I've checked the online microfiche and the 1st and 3rd gen mounting points do look similar.

The height and width of the duct where it fits inside the frame and also the spacing between the bolts on each side. Those 3 dimensions are what's critical, if they match up or are close i'll look for a used duct to work with.

I was thinking about what I said in your other post and I should have said modify the upper bodywork to fit the stock 05 air duct. Its a matter of laying fiberglass or cutting some away. It would probably be easier then modifying an air duct. Unless of course the the 08-09 air duct bolts directly to the 04-05. Just a thought. The subframe would be your biggest hurdle.

Yea.

The intake on the 04 is a fair bit lower than then intake on the 08. Probably 2" or 3". Modifying the bodywork to move the intake lower would be a pretty big job. Splicing the rear part of the 04 duct to the front part of the 08 duct would be much less work.

Also, i'm not using the 08 tail. Just the upper and lower.
