16t sprocket

I know there have been allot of threads about -1 in front. I have decided to order a 16t for may 05. My ? is what sprocket. I talked to a dealer and there were several choices ranging from $20 to $80. I don’t care about brand I just want a good sprocket that will last. I plan on using my stock chain and rear sprocket as they only have about 1800mi on them.
Thanks in advance

Dan

search engine on this website works wonders but you want the stock 16t sprocket for a z1000 - it has the rubber insulator built into the sprocket (like the stock 17t on the 10 has).. aftermarket ones that don't have this insulator tend to whine a little.. and unless you love cheese you don't want the wine

99 ZRX1100 - tons of mods and still slow but FUN / 07 Yami FZ1 for the wifie.

If you are interested in saving some money I can help you out... I just took my 16 tooth off to go with a 520 kit. It has less than 300 miles on it. Make me any reasonable offer and it's yours

*edit* oh, mine is a vortex

If you want to keep the ratio similar to stock you can go down to 39 on the rear to keep the LCM up (lowest common multiple). If that's rather low it means there is a lot of repitition in where the sprockets interface with the links on the chain, hence it will wear more quickly. If you want to go a bit furhter, go up to 41 on the rear, as that also yields a high LCM.

I would say renthal. I just got my renthal front for my 06. It was only $27 with IN tax. I also ran renthal gears on my 01 6r. I was very pleased all the way around.
