07 ZX10 front brakes - excessive lever travel

I've noticed lately that my brake lever has a ton of travel before the brakes actually begin to grab. My first instinct was that the brakes needed to be bled, so I did that, and had no improvement. Tried bleeding them probably 3 times now, and not any improvement. All stock front brakes.

What do I check next?

Nissin caliper swap. Read up on it. Multiple threads.

I guess I was under the impression that was for "spongy" brakes.. My lever literally has almost no resistance until half-way (give or take) through the stroke. Still the same issue you think?

Flintstone braking is more effective than the stock calipers
