so, i decided to cross over to the dark side and become a track addict... at least i think so... aug 17th NESBA is hosting a track day at beaverun.. i signed up for the intro ride because my wife is so uneasy that i didnt want to go the whole day yet.. i recently just join NESBA, actually 2 days ago... ive been riding on the street for 7 years.. and i thought it was time...

well, i will be using a 2003 R6...i got the bike in june, it has 5k miles on it... bought it with 4500 miles... all fluids changed... supercorsa tires coming... i eventually plan to the race plastic, but for now ill just tape over the lights... i will eventually wire everything.. is that difficult to do?

... after watching the superbike race in ohio.... i became addicted... wife is scared for sure, but its ok.... picking up my enclosed 6x12 trailer next week... yeah, im def stuck!!

Take extra electrolytes, water and light food with you. Snack and drink often. Take your tool box of your essential tools, duct tape, safety wire. A tank of air is also good to have. Ask questions and keep your ears open and deciphor what advice you think is worth a try. And try to feel comfy with your ride with a new track for you (and most likely your ride is not setup exactly for the track day) ie heed the advice of others can be beneficial. Enjoy the time. Sign up for the second day if at all possible. What you learned on the first day gets you started on the second day with fresh memories and setup.

Tell your wife that the racetrack is the safest place you can ride a motorcycle. By far!

Make sure you pay attention to what the different flags mean & how to enter & exit the track safely ..
hold a steady line when you are out there & you will be fine
You will probably have the best time you've ever had on a bike, until the next time you go & then that will be the best time you've ever had on a bike.. and so on & so on You get the idea.
Have fun & keep the rubber side gown

Oh Yeah, DON'T FORGET YOUR KEY! and bring ear plugs
