What upgraded brake set-ups do you use?

As in my prior thread I want to set the bike up for track days. I Want to have a solid brake system though.

Would you guys stick with the stock brakes or upgrade the calipers/rotors? If so, which brand do you guys prefer from experience?

So you guys aren't doing the whole caliper/rotor upgrades?

Or do the OEM ones suffice?

There's numerous options available but suffice to say the OEM setup will suffer attending trackdays.

My choice in order of cost, quality fluid, ss-lines, aftermarket pads, MC, calipers.
So depending on what year 10r will dictate what areas you address.

Thanks BD!

I have an 04 and because of the feedback I got from everybody, I will hold off on full exhaust, pc3, and focus that money on full suspension and brakes.

Now it's time to decide on what brand of shock to get and if I should re-work the forks or get the ohlin unit since I have been fortunate enough to save some cash.

As far as brakes, I was thinking go brembo with wave rotors maybe? I still have a lot of research to do but I mos def want to have the stopping/suspension components on the bike good to go before I hit the track.

the stock rotors are fine... it's the master cylinder that most people recommend replacing. I put SS lines and vesrah pads with the stock master cylinder and it was more than adequate for me doing track days

I went with Goodridge SS lines and quality fluid and was like night and day difference

Note taken. So i am going to assume before I keep searching the site that the brembo calipers should slap right on the stock rotors like cars do correct?
