Talking Topeka Park: JJ goes 20 seconds faster than Hill!! And Henrys Bike is WAY TOO Fast!

AND, JJ got at least one podium as of now!

Henrys bike is still alive, and is AWESOME! Thanks Henry for lettin us ride it! LOTS of fun even though I went slow.

and in the race we ended up with 5th place. not too bad I guess...

Had a great w/e with everybody!

Altered Zx10r thanks for all the help in the race!

SuperK and your wife! It was great to meet yall!

I guess Ill give my version of the race report. Got there on thurs. night, and didn't get to get into the track cause CCS is crazy and shut down at 7pm...

We got conned out of 2 sessions of practice so Henry and I both only got about 3 laps to try to learn a 2.5 mi course. After that it was race time.

JJ rode first, did well, ran some good times.

red flagged and he came in cause the pegs were draggin. I tried to move them up...

Henry went and did well. Kept her up on two wheels and thats hard to do your first race f'sho!

I went last. Had to come in cause the shift linkage wasn't tight enough. Fired the mechanic on the spot! Went "flying" into T1 and the shifter went limp. Had to nurse her around the track in first gear back to the pits.

It wasn't that big of a deal though cause it was just about as fast as i was goin when I had the other gears.

I got tired before my time was up and had to come pit and let Henry finish the last ten min of the race. 10 min doesn't sound like much...but when its hot and youre worn out...it seems like forever!

After racing Henrys 06 zx-10r, I can say with confidence that one, I never want to race w/out a quickshifter ever again, and that for the track the 06 version is WAY better bike than the 04/05 hands down no quesions asked.

I wish I could have gone faster, but I still had a blast. the thunderstorm with 50+ mph winds we had to sleep through in our tent was cool too!

So for those who are wondering whos faster...

Gotta give my props to the yankee racer! He was flying out there!

Hopefully Ill have some vid put together soon.

I only got a couple pics the whole time I was there, so here they are. JJ and Henry will have to post theirs.

Well just got home a few hours ago. Man am I tired. It was awesome meeting all you guys up there and Hill it was great to finally see a true hillbilly racer in real life. I had the best time I ever had at a race w/e and hopefully we can meet up some time. I will try to get some more pics up later after I get home from work and get some sleep. And for the record the 2006 10r stock is set-up much better for the track than the 04/05 model was stock. Not as exciting but the power was delivered much smoother and more linear. Ok more to come later.
