tires rub pipes on 06 lowered

is anybody else tires rubbin their exhaust on their 06? mine rubbed the stock pipes an i scared to launch with the full ti-force cuz i dont want it to rub my new sh&%.wonder if you put a 180/50 on the rear an tighten the shock would it still rub?i dont know but looks like ill be sellin the ti-force an gettin that new muzzy megaphone?

Probably you have a bad rear suspension? I own an 06 with akra, not even close. My bad mine not lowered, 180 might do the trick.lol

im curious to know also as i plan to lower mine 2 inches in the rear with akrapovic evo system on an 06.. anyone else have an issue rubbing with akra pipes??

i had to raise mine back up. i have the full system akra and it broke the strap it was rubbing so bad.

any suggestion on what system to go with to avoid rubbing. i have seen the brock davidson system but i bet its loud as hell..

trade your bike in for a 04' or 05' i have seen a couple of pics of a 06' with a side exhaust. that might be better if you are drag racing.

The Brock system isn't as loud as you'd think. I've heard some people say it's like a D&D, but I wouldn't say it's THAT loud. Plus it's not annoying like a D&D, sounds good. Muzzy has a new pipe out also for the '06 called the M-10. Similar to Brock's Megaphone.

well i went with the akra full system and schnitz lowering links. i got the system on but not the links yet. ill see if i can hopefully get 1.25inch lower outta the rear atleast..

If drag racing is your thing, lengthen the swingarm, moving the tire further away from the pipes. Add spring and compression to the shock too.
