riding technique

just went for a ride today and it was awesome! probly one the most conifidence inspiring rides ive been on. i just have a quick question about leaning: when you find yourself leaning for a turn what do you do with your outside arm(elbow)? do you position it underneathe the ridge of the gas tank or no? thanks

for me, and Im not a racer...

With your outside elbow, you should put it where ever you are comfy.
Your inside elbow should be at a 90 degree.

however, I do rest my elbow against the tank because it DOES feel cumfy. And it does help me pull the bike down ever so slighly, if necessary, as well as a base point for my arm to be. It is basically about repetition (or doing it the same every time) if that makes any sense.
