Post No Factory Superbike class in AMA for 2009

http://www.roadracingworld.com/news/...?article=33706

At first I thought the problem was with DMG, but now I am not sure...

It'll be interesting to see what happens.

And I think you'll soon see the OEMs pull out of the US because of this. :headshake

I may not be perfect, but at least I don't ride a Suzuki.

I am to the point where I really don
t care anymore, way too much jumping around, back and forth, WSBK and Moto GP are more than entertaining and competitive enough for me.

Roger is a prick .... I think they should just let the manufactures do what they want ... That is how we get things to trickle down to the street ... More tech. comes from the ability for them to come up with and use it. The AMA has been going downhill the past couple of years IMHO anyways!

01 ZX6R - Sold
05 ZX6R 636 - Totaled(not by me!) and Rebuilt - Sold
2006 ZX10R - Riding every day

I agree. But if you've been following this, Roger (DMG) has backed down and given the factories everything they've wanted. And everytime the factories (Suzuki and Honda) get what they want, they change what they want.

First it was a 1000cc class. Done.

Ok, now we want the 2009 Superbike rules that we agreed on already. Done.

Well now we want FIM WSBK rules, but with no spec tires or fuel. Ok, done.

Now they want to stay with the current 2008 rules.

I mean WTF!!

I'll try to post links for all those demands and agreements. Otherwise you can look around for yourself at www.roadracingworld.com It is all there, you just might need to go back a few weeks or months in the 'breaking news' section.

I was pretty excited myself when they were going to do the FIM WSBK rules without the spec tires and without the spec fuel. But then Honda and Suzuki come along...
