My 1/8 mile times

Last night I went to a local strip, Thunder Valley in Red Springs, NC close to the Monster Mile in Maxton (the AirBase). I have never run a bike down a dragstrip before. My first pass was a 7.24, but I bogged the bike out of the hole, shifted 3k too soon at the end of 1st because I was so excited, etc...

As soon as I picked up the slip, my buddy tells me to go again, so I do, and run a 6.661. I kept my revs up out of the hole, but I rode the clutch too long, so I know I can go faster.

Now, I just have to get on a back road and practice my launches even though I know they will be a little different with all the stickum on the race track.

The orange ones aren't as slow as everyone says! :D [smilie=2:
