First track day coming soon (pointers)

Guys I started a thread months back and got great feedback. I decided to start riding the track on a 600. Check this bike out guys and tell me how much you guys would pay. I think I would only offer this guy 5800 for it but what do you guys think it's worth?

Up for sale is my 2005 ZX6R up for sale. It was Ronnie Hay's race bike last season, and the season before I believe. I have only riden it for two trackdays since I got it from him, and the bike handles amazing, and has plenty of power.

Asking $6500 OBO

Fully safety wired

I think my bike is so sexy that if it had boobs women would no longer be of interest.

I just found an 2004 636 with 18k with a fresh head, good compression, clean title, and stock. Guy wants 3500 and I'm going to have to jump on that. It's been down 2 times but it's a perfect track bike thats striaght and true.

All I need to add are race tires, race rear shock, damper, etc which shoould bring me up to about 5900 after I dump the race parts into the bike where it would have costed me 6300 after shipping if I would have bought that red bike.

I think I came out good with this deal.

guys help me out, should I go with the 05 with low miles and unopened engine or the 04 with 18k still under factory warrenty and just got the head rebuilt.?

I mean when I put the race parts on the 04 it will add up to around 6k total when the red bike would cost me 6300 shipped to another state.

I'm confused here.

^^just me but i would take my time and no kidding make sure the bike is straight. track bikes go through a lot of abuse and as a rule of thumb you can add at least 50% to the accidents you're being told about. lots of track bikes for sale so i don't see what the hury is. last thing you want is bent bike that spends more time in the shop than on the track.

I would start looking for an 07, I just got one for 6500

or buy that 05 for 5 - 5500

if your just starting out you don't need that much bling...
Plus the 03 04 is a hard bike to get set up.
