Good for them. I hope they are the first of many. And all the major ones would be perfect.

"F" the DMG and their nascrap way of ruining, sorry running, a racing series.

Here's why.

http://www.roadracingworld.com/news/...?article=32567

The team bought their 1098's to race in AMA this season, but was told that the rules wouldn't permit them to. So they know that the 1098 is permitted in FIM rules so they went that way.

they could have decided to run bikes that are within the rules rather then having the extra displacement...isn't this why duc pulled their bikes out after being told by the ama they would not be allowed to run with a 200cc displacement advantage..

And how successful and popular is Nascar? And this popularity would hurt road racing in the US how? You are being a closed minded crybaby. NO ONE has any clue how this will all shake down in the end. Nor, do any of us know what the racing will be like. Just wait.......

don't think it will hurt racing in the US, but I do think it will hurt the US riders from stepping up to the next level of international racing. You don't see many Americans going to World SS.

But at the rate they are "succeeding" in other race series, I don't see how this can in any way hurt that. If anything, I would think that more money available would only make the racing and the tracks much better. Look at how the teams felt about Miller Motorsport Park. Many of them were saying it was one of the best facilites and tracks they go to through out the year......THAT is what the AMA needs. Give the riders similar tracks they would face in Europe and I think you will the US produce a much better racer.
