ducshop racing taking donations hmmmm

:headshakehttp://roadracingworld.com/news/article/?article=48635
I know the guys are trying to go racing & all but i disagree with taking in donations via there web-site, I think if you cant afford to go racing DONT go racing!!! now i agree with getting a sponsor but taking donations from normal people isn't the way to do it, i guess i'm a debbie downer

LOL! Well, I kinda disagree with you. Yeah, it seems pretty cheapskate on their part, but at the same time, you don't HAVE to donate to them or their cause. Seems like a somewhat innovative way to generate the funds needed in this day and age.

Gotta be honest with you though, if I did wind up donating, I'd expect some sort of sticker on the race bike. A big-ass 'SkyDork' decal on the side of the bike or on the ass of the rider's leathers so I could brag to my friends when they saw it on TV. "Look, I'm a sponsor!".

I may not be perfect, but at least I don't ride a Suzuki.

Ridding the Internet of bad grammar, 1 post at a time.

Many of the smaller race teams do this...ESP did it last year and I donated some. I even got my name on the bike ;)

Some Moto 3 teams take donations as well. There are some perks to it though as you get to go to their garage in practice sessions.
I know this as there is a guy i have spoken to that did this a the French GP's.
