Drag stip advice

I recently went down a tooth in the front, added the shorty pipe and lowered the bike 2's in the rear and 1.5 in the front. My question to you bad ass drag racers is what should I set my rear tire psi at? Im running a bald ass shinko advance 200/50/17. I have to admit, the bike has no traction in first gear on the street what so ever. One thing im worried about though is that a buddy of mine told me to raise the bike back up a little because that if I come out of the hole and the front comes up to high and I have to let off it can knock a hole in my oil pan if I bottom out to hard. Any of yall have this problem? The cat had bottomed out a little already just from the little bit of street riding ive done but not real bad. I just have it lowered like this for tomorrow though so after that I will set it back to stock setting. Im going to try and improve on my previous best 60ft of a crappy 1.95 and consistent 10.70's at 136-139. Thanks for your advice in advance guys.

If you are worried about cracking the pan , then wind up all the preload on the front springs , close of the compression and rebound adjusters and even add some more fork oil, but make sure you put it back before you go road riding again.

You do have to be careful when setting the bike down from a wheelie with it lowered, but you should be fine. As long as the track is prepped good and you line up in the groove the Shinko should hook fine with 18-20 psi. I have the Pirelli Supercorsa SC2 and I have hooked it on 45 psi before. Good Luck and let us know how you do.

Yeah I would say keep it around 15-23 PSi at the track that is a good number and yes you should strap the front down

Strap it, the height is fine - learn to keep the front end down with throttle and body position, get a 180, I run my shinko at 8psi anything more and it will spin at the track - even at 8 it will spin on the street, but mine is stretched - try 18psi.

....why a 200 tire...doesn't seem that will help you much in stock length and minimal power.
