Deezuhl's ZX-10 closing in on 200mph..

Well we are closing in on the 200mph mark.. We geared the bike with a bit better gearing this week and on 198mph gearing the bike went 197mph in 9/10 of a mile.. we did have some good tailwind i must admit but mph is mph. Last week the bike went 194mph in 9/10 and 196 over a mile. so the mods we did this week definitely picked the bike up big time.. We pretty much cleaned the house on the suzukis and kawis except for 1 06 gixxer..his name is GSX on here. he was pulling 197-198 and getting out of 1st pretty good due to the gixxers shorter 1st gear.. juan, icemans gunning for you.. LOL

I got to make a couple passes against 2 gixxers.. both guys much lighter than me and excellent riders with similar mods.. locked up with 1 and beat the other the 1st race. the 2nd race I beat 1 of them and lost by a bike to other cause i was in the middle of both of them having the wind pushed on me so i couldnt pull thru. i didnt have my gps but i was in the 189-190mph range.. i was pretty happy considering my handicap in weight.. the guy i locked up with though is getting some tuning done by the iceman now.. UGHHH!!! anyway, all in all a very productive week.. stay tuned as we continue on chasing the 200mph mark!!

Are you doing any engine mods or only tuning, gearing, exhaust and such?

If you gotta ask you can't afford it.

Congrats on the mph! I do have a question about the 9/10's thing though. I've seen on posts here that it's a Flordida thing...but why? Is it always the same location or are there multiple places to run? How is it timed at Maxton? Is that a regular mile or do they record th 9/10's speed as well?

we have multiple spots in different cities marked off at 9/10 of a mile.. most states dont have the flat land we have here to even run that distance safely without traffic.. at maxton its a standing mile. We will definitely pick up 2-3 mph in a standing mile compared to rolling at 9/10.. if your rolling your et will be quicker.. if your standing you can gain more more mph and its 1/10 longer disance.. only killer will be you need leathers compared to tshirts so that slows you down also..
