Blackhawk Farms Rnd#6 July 15-16th!!!

So round#6 of CCS Mid-West racing at Blackhawk Farms was this last weekend. It was super hot and the track had some repaved corners which made the track slick and green in some spots for sure. Also had to use 2 different tire profiles(190/50,190/55) since the Michelin tire vendor screwed me over. I must say I am disappointed with Michelins trackside support and the lack of and the fact they never have enough tires.

However many many many thanks to Smiley(avdigigeek) and Henry(teebo7) for there awesome pit crew help at the track. It made things go much smoother all around and I pretty much just had to ride. Thanks a ton guys and I had a blast hangin with all of you.

Race #1 was on saturday and it was my only race of the day. A 25 minute GTO race on a very hot track so things got a little slick towards the end. I had a not so good start as usual with a grid of 25 and went into one around 16. Wasnt quite feeling it and by the time I started gettin in it the main pack was gone and I had to negotiate getting around some slower traffic but picked a few guys off on the way and finished 9th. Not what I wanted but considering my start I couldnt really expect much more than that.

Sunday Race#2 Unlim. Supersport
Another hot day for sure and another grid of around 25 guys. Was ready to go but hit a nuetral off the line and went into T1 in last place.:headshake Was mad after that and started to pass a few guys but by that time the main pack was all but gone. Started to run guys down and pick them off one by one but an 8 lap race is kinda lame so there was not many positions to be had. Ended up a disappointing 13th but all in all a fun race.

Sunday Race#3 Unlim. Speedscreen GP
Another grid of 25 guys and a very competitive class. I got an ok start but just didnt push enough into T1 in traffic and it cost me. Was 17th after the first lap and started to put my head down but once again not a good enough start to really get up there. Had a great race though and very fun nonetheless. Picked off a few guys and on the last lap got a good drive out of the last corner and ran down a guy at the line to take 11th place. Disappointing again but what can I say. I suck off the line. Something I need to work on for sure.

Sunday Race#4 Unlim. Superbike
Grid in this race was 16 and i was starting 12th. Got off the line ok but not good enough and again was in last place into T1. Really pushed hard and almost got into an incident when i was coming up on a slow expert racer and a chick who had no business on the track at all. That kinda slowed me down a bit but got by them barely:headshake and started pickin a few guys off. Ran my best times in this race and set my fastest lap time around the track on the last race trying to catch a dude but he was just a bit to far ahead and beat me by 2 feet comin to the line. Finished 9th but a fun race for sure. All in all not the w/e I was looking for to say the least but no crashes and a best lap time. Now I just need to get my starts down and stick myself into the mix and chaos in T1 and I know I'll give them a run for there money.

Sorry you had a dissapointing w/e JJ. Youre gettin better every w/e though, so I wouldn't be too upset w/ yourself.

You'll be up front again...

I just hope I dont have to drive 10hrs to give you the motivation fer it...

He was looking good out there, the starts just need some work.
He did get passing in turn one down pretty damn good.
that last race I think he passed 5 guys in t1 2 of which were at once.
