Ama To Allow Traction Control

AMA will allow traction control at next race. Only in superbike class.

Hasn't shown up on www.superbikeplanet.com yet, but if true, it soon will. There's already an article on there about the discussions with the AMA, and about Mat Mladin's opinion. (I think he's right.)

The existing "rule" has become unenforceable. In the Superbike class, they should allow traction control. In the Supersport/Superstock classes, they should require the use of OEM electronics, regardless of the presence or absence of traction control, ABS, or whatever else.

Helibars, MRA screen, Ohlins damper, reversed shift pattern, sorted suspension, braided lines, Michelin Pilot Power, all else stock 'coz it's fast enough!

Yeah - it pretty much says 'Traction Control Still Illegal'. The AMA has not changed the rules - yet.

i think Cycle World's misconception comes from this quote, on Superbike Planet.

If they do watch the Duc's catch up as they can then use more of the trick electronics like on Bayliss's bike in WSB... not that I am a biased brit wanting the number 100 to get on the top step
