1/8 mile

Well two weeks ago i took my 10 out to the track and damn talk about having a hard time keepin the front end down. My best time of the night was

RT .019
60 1.912
330 4.856
MPH 84.12
1/8 7.059
MPH 113.82

now my worst time was low eights. The bike seemed to be bogging down alot to i guess the gearing. Well the next week i dropped the bike, did a 520 conversion with a 16tooth front and a 42 back and had it strapped. Everything else still stock(exhaust too).

Best time now is(the next friday)

RT .056
60 1.861
330 4.649
MPH 86.57
1/8 6.818
MPH 110.01

I first ran a few low 7's then ran 3 consistent 6.9, but as the night went on I just started burning out goin down then track. Well i know these are good times but im still dissappointed. My reaction time and sixty need some work because i consistently run a 1.9 sixty and about a .200 to a .350 RT. well hopfully with more track time i can get down to some low 6's in the 1/8(maybe even a better track, lol)

High sixes is good for any streetbike !

Low sixes is amazing for a streetbike to do.

Most street legal 1/8 mile tracks limit you to seven oh' . . .

yea the limit at the track is 6.99 everytime i went faster then that they told me that i needed full leathers if i wanted to continue to run that fast. The first 2 times i hit below 6.99 they let me slide but after that they told me to slow down, but of course i couldn't, lol. I eventially quit when they said they wouldn't let me run if i continued. So i tried to work on my sixty, but then the burning out down the track started to get worse, even with a good burn out. I think it was mostly do to the track conditions and giving it alittle to much throttle. I still have some things to do to the bike to get the bike set up right. Like i said everything on the bike is stock except for the 520conversion(16f/42r), lowering links, strap. I am wanting to keep it a stock wheel base bike.

Well got back to the track and these are my still disappointing times and some horrible sleep time at the tree:

R/T .307
60' 1.723
330' 4.400
MPH 86.93
1/8 6.548
MPH 114.73

this bike is still stock except being lowered, straped, and geared.
