haha, i just saw it; he DID crash when he found out that Rossi brought down the gap from 1.2 to 1.0 and was on the run. He may have responded to that by pushing a bit too hard and lost the front.

West was pretty impressive today however! I donno what was wrong with Hopkins, he was probably fatigued from his injuries as he started out great, but then couldn't keep up anymore

With a surgery on a knee you drag turning corners i could see why hes having such trouble. was pretty nice seeing west being as competive as he was. but it was obvious hopkins was just having issues with the pain falling 3rd to 11th...

They said the reason like 10 times on the air, were you not listening to Greg and Mick
He was hurting from his knee surgery, left turns, left knee down=pain, he just could not keep the pace up.

Nice to see West fighting back a couple of times, even though he ultimately lost out, he fought back!

Don't make too much of this though guys, if you know anything about racing you know, Michelin FUCKED themselfs hard this weekend, the Michelin riders had no hope dry or wet.
The Kawis were ONLY up there cause of their good starting spot because of the wet qualifying. If they had been back in their normal spots they would not have came foreward. No one seems to realize how much starting up in the front benifited them.

Yup, Hopkins and Ant were running 3rd and 4th at the beginning, then West fell back, then Hopkins knee most likely started bothering him so he started to fall back, and West came back up a little.

At its core, the Ninja ZX-10R is a motorcycle built for the accomplished rider who can fully appreciate its capabilities--whether put to the test at a racetrack, or merely the focus of bench-racing conversation. It is, by all standards, the embodiment of the ultimate superbike.

yeah the result is definitely because michelin got screwed. However, its not just Hopper's knees, his rear tire selection was unique and ultimately, he started losing rear traction + his knee hurtin got him down the rank

the development of that new motor is great, now at least the green machine looks like it can run in the top. give hopper some time to heal up and get some more saddle time and i think he will have a shot. its like he said in the beginning the bike for next year is the focus at Kawi and all the good results in between are just bonus'

In the interview with Hopper he said the rest of this year is mainly about developing the bike (thank goodness) because of injuries etc. Next year will be fun to watch to see how competitive Kawi is.

ps. was it just me or did, Doohan sound like he was rooting for Kawi too?!
