*SPOILER* - Jerez MotoGP Qualifying

3. Nakano - Kawasaki - Bridgestone - 1.39.526

2nd Row
4. Hayden - Honda - Michelin - 1.39.666
5. Pedrosa - Honda - Michelin - 1.39.734
6. Elias - Honda - Michelin - 1.39.875

3rd Row
7. Melandri - Honda - Michelin - 1.39.932
8. DePuniet - Kawasaki - Bridgestone - 1.40.146
9. Rossi - Yamaha - Michelin - 1.40.160

4th Row
10. Edwards - Yamaha - Michelin - 1.40.181
11. Vermeulen - Suzuki - Bridgestone - 1.40.215
12. Hopkins - Suzuki - Bridgestone - 1.40.340

5th Row
13. Roberts - KR211V - Michelin - 1.40.497
14. Checa - Yamaha - Dunlop - 1.40.851
15. Stoner - Honda - ? - 1.40.982

Alex Hoffman's Pramac Ducati puked oil all over the track on the first lap of Qualifying, taking out Rossi, both Kawasakis, Roberts and Elias.

The session was red-flagged while everyone got their act together again. Very exciting Qualifying session, overall.

Jerez still appears to be a Bridgestone track.

Capirossi's pole time is a new track record.

Glad to see Nicky as first Honda, first Michelin and ahead of his teammate, Pedrosa!

You may be right, however even on Race tires, he was considerably slower than many others.

^^ Again, you never know with Rossi. But it sure looked like he was workin' it. Slidin' and spinning all the way. Spun the rear up on the last turn onto the straight, even all the way up the stripes.

Might have a good race! Exciting stuff! I'd love to see the kawi's battle up front, even it's just for a few laps! The new bike must be quite an improvement!

^^ Yeah, the new engine for Kawi is supposedly more of a "big-bang" engine. Sure sounds like it. Wierdest sounding inline-four I've ever heard. Kinda cool. Shinya looked really good, and was top of the board at times. He said they got a new rear Race tire that helped a lot. And his non-Qualifier tire times reflected it. He was leading the times b4 everyone went to their Qs.

exciting isn't the word its FAAAAAAAAAAnnf***intastic me thinks and i'm goin out on a limb to say Rossi won't get it done this weekend with all the frontend shudder both he and CE encountered spells doom. Even though its only Q times they are worth mentioning because of all the diff brands mixed in.
