I found it disturbing one of the Announcers asked why is Kawi so good they said because Kawi is not doing GP and has more support in a round about way plus it was built as a race bike first Street Bike second which is true but give credit where credit is do come on...yes Kawi does extensive training but I believe no more than others and others have great riders too.....I think it's time to give credit to the BIKE it's self just a great package to start with and possible like almost last year Win a Championship with

I was surprised that Sykes couldn't pull thru at the last min. I thought for sure he would have slid past....but still a great race!

Thats not a fair statement at all. He had a race in one of the last weeks where an engine failure took him out too, he got no points that race. Earlier in the season he was having problems keeping his tire in one piece to finish a race. Its a long season, you cannot just blame one thing like that.

And to be fair it is a long season in wich i am aware and my comment was about what bloo was regarding, he lost by half a point and the amount of variables there are endless, in bloo's comment the people talking about Kawasakis where only running so well because they didnt run gp bikes , So do think that BMW and duc, appri, suz would not be putting in as much effort as Kawasaki,I think they would !!

Glad to see Sykes win race 1, and in convincing fashion. Also good to see Baz on the podium. Hopefully that happens a few more times before the season is over.

I think that there is something to what he's saying about Kawi being competitive again because of being able to focus on WSBK and not dumping money into the MotoGP pit. Ever since dumping that endevour, they're kicking ass in WSBK, WSS and motocross racing.

It also helps that Suzuki and Honda have pretty much stopped development on their bikes, and Yamaha bailed to focus solely on MotoGP. The only superbikes that have seen significant development in the past 5 years are Kawi, BMW, Ducati and Aprilia.

But I do give Sykes and the crew credit where credit is due. They've done a hell of a job. The biggest thing was getting over the rear tire shredding, and it looks like they've finally figured it out.

+1

That DNF in the 2nd to last race weekend last year is ultimately what cost him the championship.
