z1000 motor in a 636

just wondering if this is possible? my buddy has an 04 636, hes lookin to sell it. he took the motor out to get it rebuilt, and the motor got stolen from his garage. so he just wants to dump the whole thing. said hed sell it for $1000. i was gonna slap a z1000 motor in it, if it will work. i'm almost positive the frames are the same, and the motor-mounts on the 636 are adjustable. let me know guys!!!

Don't think it'll be an easy fit. The Z1000 has a spine frame, the 636 a beam frame. The fuel injection on the Z lies flat, where the injection on the 636 is at an angle. The airbox on the Z1000 is under the seat, the 636 under the tank.
Not saying it's impossible, just that it'll be a bit of work... Now, if you could get bits from a ZX9, you may be able to get it in a bit easier...
