the wife started ours early black friday.... tryn to get the kids knocked out early and change the way we wait till the last min every year...

as the wife was shopping, she called me and told me she picked up the jacket she wanted me to get her for christmas... she gets home and and gives me the recipt so i can put the money back in her account... it was only $190 and she was surprised when i said that was a great buy, ill put the cash in your account monday morning.... that sure beats the $700 digital camera i had plans on picking up for her this weekend... since she beat me to her Xmas shopping looks like i got enough left over now to buy her the Mario Kart game she wants for the Wii (and plenty to add to my rainy day hidden fund)... lol

It's pretty much impossible for my wife and I to hide stuff in our little house....there isn't much secrecy before xmas.

She pulled up everything she wanted on overstock.com, and said "this is what I want, buy it for me" (some jewelry, and a new TV stand). Then we went to nebraska furniture mart, and picked out a big-ass TV for me (and her...although she claims it's just for me). Merry chrismas to us!

I need some ideas for my dad and father in law though. Any new tools out there that are hot stuff this xmax? they pretty much have every other tool known to man.

Im not into it this year as far as the whole Xmas thing, so Im tryin to get my son finished and a few nieces and nephews, which they are all teenager who wants money or gift cards so that makes it easy, although I dont like giving them gift cards but thats what they say they want....so who am I to argue.

I think thats great she got a jacket and to me thats a win win situation, she gets what she wants and you dont have the headache of trying to find her something. But you know you should still go get her a surprise..hint hint, its wouldnt be Xmas if you didnt do some of your own shopping

Its the same here, but maybe leave the gifts at a friends or family member, thats what I have to do with my sons stuff....he would find it if is somewhere in the house here.
