Anyone know? Is it like industrial strength red or something?

Green Loctite also known by the number 290.
290 Threadlocker Wicking Grade

A medium strength threadlocker for pre-assembled bolts up to 1/2" (12 mm). Penetrates threads by capillary action. Secures set screws and other assemblies after settings are completed. Seals welds and porous metal parts. Protects threads from rust and corrosion. Localized heating and hand tools are needed for disassembly.

Typical Applications
Preassembled fasteners, instrumentation screws, electrical connectors, carburetors.

Dang, this was on a 17mm bolt on my 750. Wasn't expecting any threadlocker @ all. Sliced my knuckle down to the bone trying to free it w/o an impact driver. D'oh!

There are also cylindrical retaining compounds that are green. It's best to go by the number and description.

Another note, becareful with old compounds that have been lying around. There is a shelf life...
