Angry Where is the US headed???

Guys, I gotta tell you its depressing watching the news/CNN/CSPAN etc.

Watched one show where they showed the cost of college tuition has risen 46% in the last 5 years (2 kids pre college)....
Same show said that gas costs have risen 55% in the last 5 years....
Median US income has fallen by 4.11% during the same time....

Looked on Netscape news yesterday and they had an article about health insurance and they predict with skyrocketing health care/insurance costs that companies will go away from providing ANY kind of healthcare insusance. You will buy out of your own pocket..
Health Insurance has risen over 50% in the last 5 years...

When I saw the other day the 2 soldiers were tortured and beheaded it made me stop and think...Why are we over there with over 2500 lives lost and a billion $$ a week cost when there is no real "good" end result??
They don't want peace or democracy...they are crazy zealots..there are no weapons of mass destruction and Iraq was more stable with fewer lives lost daily when Saddam was in control.

Violence in our schools endanger our children...sexual predators, road rage, bird flu, aids, cheating CEOs, man throws children off a building....jobs going to Asia (outsourcing)...Exxon 42B$ profit last qtr..levees collapse...homegrown terrorists now on US soil...cutting social security..cutting medicare..cutting student loans...Big Banks can charge 30% interest for cash advances needed by students who can't get school loans otherwise....Yeah Citi...they paid their CEO $455M last year..

I'd go for a long ride but it is raining like heck...

and before you "W" lovers bash me, tell me what he has done good for America that will be remembered by history books and your grandchildren?

OK, he eliminated the capital gains tax for the rich...he gave every thing to the big 4.(Mega-Banks, Drug Companies, Big Oil and Defense Contractors)
Go charge your Viagra on your Citi card, fill up your tank and watch Halliburton rebuild Iraq daily as they keep blowing it up.....and let your great great great grandchildren pay for it.

My bike won masterbike...did yours?
I didn't think so...

Take the govt from the billionaires.....money drives every decision congress makes. Not human need but profit....we need affordable drugs and healthcare....HMO's and drug companies want more money...they win

Case in point..Bush and congress could mandate that every passenger car by 2010 sold gets 35 mpg....auto mfgs could do it....but Exon would lose on the $$BILLIONS$$$... they want us to use a lot of gas and want us to pay more.
Exon wins.........

i gotta tell ya, as a 22 year old with 1 child and another on the way, i honestly wonder if i'm doing the right thing by bringing more children into the world. i love my little girl like crazy, but what kind of world is she going to have in 40-50 years? all the old movies that were "future" movies showed hover-boards and flying cars, big glass buildings with those crazy star-wars doors and everyone in a general state of well being. i'd hate to see the movie that actually predicts the future correctly. no one will be able to afford health insurance, so everyone will be sick or dying of some new disease. there will be no social security, so we'll have the seniors still working some rediculous job at 80 years old. and with all this global warming shit causing crazy weather patterns and what not, its hard not to think the world will be flooded, or blown to shit from earthquakes within the next 100 years. i worry for my daughter. rant over.
