Video edit Gurus- help

I have a 126MB avi that i took with my camera of the Duc I'm selling. I need to compress it and get it hosted. Need advice on freeware, format, and hosting sites.

Not aware of any freeware for video editing but you can try CNet.com. As for format, I'd go Quicktime over Windows Media. JMO and all that.

The best "free" editing software out there is Windows Movie Maker, considering you own a windows based PC. Compress it down to a decent size .wmv file for best size/quality ratio and then either upload it to putfile, Google Video's, or send it to somebody like me and they can host it on their site for you for a bit

Thanks again. Shrunk it to a 5MB wmv and quality was fine while play back on my pc, but after upload to Google it looks like crap. Good enough though I guess. Or would making it bigger b4 uploading to google help?
