Suggestions on a target practice 22 pistol?

Hi,

I have been looking at my buddys Browning 22 Caliber pistol & I have shot it a few times. I want to get a small hand gun for target practice. Down the line I might get something a little larger.

Anyway, does anyone have a recommendation for an inexpensive good starter 22 pistol?

The local pistol shop showed me a Smith & Wesson 22 pistol that was $1200 dollars (it was used too). I dont want to get hosed on this, so if I could have a few suggestions of some $600ish target practice pistols, that would be great!

Thanks,
Rich

Sig Mosquito. 90% full size frame, reliable, probably easier transition (size wise) to a larger gun. $.02

Definately go with the Ruger. They are super sweet.
