Sturgis rally

Hey I know sturgis isn't really a place for us, but it isn't that bad really.

I am originally from the area out there, and will be out there for vacation, anyone else had entertained any thoughts about checking it out?

I have a friend that works at one of the booths out there, so I was going to pay him a quick visit on my way through.

Hulette, Wyoming is getting to be the "Sturgis of old" that is where they are just going haywire, and don't want to be caught on of our bikes there!

If you are not smoking your pucks and scuffing your sidewalls, you are just not livin'!!!

If you're going there hoping to ride Spearfish canyon &c, forget about it during the rally itself. I was there a few years ago (incognito---I was riding one of my dad's Hardleys) and you can't go faster than 30mph in any of the remotely good riding places around Sturgis because of the sheer number of people.

If you really want to ride those places, go a week or two before or after the rally---some people are still around, but far fewer, so the rides are lots better.

I went to Full Throttle and nearly cried at the number of people just sitting there revving the shit out of their AIR COOLED MOTORS.

Dumb bastards.

Yea, I know all about it. I grew up there, so I know how many turtles are going to be out there everywhere!

I am actully going to head over to the yellowstone area more this year, so maybe I can get some riding in over at the Bighorns / Tetons, I am pretty sure there will be little or no traffic around there.
