It's been happening here at a few places lately. After the gas prices went through the roof this month there was a big increase in "Pump and Dashes".

I've got something to say...It's better to burn up, than to fade away!

Please, call me Burner.

I noticed this on a recent Visit, really confused the hell out of me (not hard), how do you know how much to pay for, what if you pay for too much & can't fit it all in your tank :)

What if it's all Bullshit

Prepay here in Norcal for years now. Simple....go back to the cashier and get yer cash back unless you feel like leaving a tip to the gas station.

Do A Wheeeeeeliiiieeeeeeeeee!

do you guys have credit cards or debit cards? I've stoped using cash. When i did use cash i would prepay and then get the change back.

I've only had to do the prepay in L.A., so far, but yes, it was a pain in the ass.

Its only aggravating to me when i want to fill up....cause you have to guess at how much, then you either are short or you have to go back for change.....most times i use the card at the pump anyway.

card at the pump definitely....but we don't have to prepay....somewhere (I think NJ), you can't pump your own gas...you have let the station attendant do it....
