Powder Coating Rims

Gents, thinking about powder coating my rims gold, like the forks or aftermarket gold rim colors. Wanted to try this on a blue model but only green so far and i thought it looked good! Also, BD, how much did you pay?

Mmmmmmmm be careful what tone of gold used cuz if ya get the wrong one it will only look dirtyish. I managed a sweet deal when i had mine done @ $73pr.

Just a ferw words of advice/caution for ya. 1) have the powdercoater use plastic media to blast them and 2) make dbl sure the surface areas the bearings go into are sealed off otherwise you'll play hell gettin the powder off and lastly 3) if you install the new bearings don't let them get lopsided as you insert them because it will damage/alter the mating surfaces permanently.

Hmmm, at $80 per wheel maybe I'll get mine done in red. Maybe is they could do just the spokes. That would look goood.
