got my wife to finaily let me join the army national guard..

Welcome aboard, it will be a wild ride but it will be worth it.

1. get as many classes/schools/programs as you can

2. get the Montgomery GI Bill, fully fund it. Get any College you can while in, finish your degree when you get out.

3. keep your frick'n head down and don't get your azz shot off

Riflemans got it right, do these three things and one more "Do what your told to do, when your told to do it during training", trust me, things will go smooth for you. Oh and go AVIATION....WE ROCK!!!!!!

why army national guard? you like it when other branches laugh at your intelligence? shouldve went air force for supreme technical training and quality of life or if you want to kill things good and dead then marines.

Deal with the BS and do what rifleman said. Its what im doing now been in 6 years its fun its worth it and at times it blows but it does pay its self off, Enjoy the fun

lol man dont put down other branches it makes you look like a jack ass, and i Promise you just because some one is in the air force doesnt mean you will laugh at my intelligence because im army I promise you that much. Got a GPA to prove it, Sure the life in the airforce is nicer, but the basic and combat training is a joke. Every one joins the branch that is what they want, I did, could have went air force but why? wasnt for me. So add somthing that is worth adding next time will ya?
