Keeping fit - Working out.

I wonder what you folks do to keep fit?

I just started P90X.

I hate it, but I love it.

A bit of time at the gym with weights and an elliptical or spin classes (more time in the winter, much less in the summer).

Running, road cycling and mountain biking.

This year i've lost 55lbs, I'd still like to cut another 10-15 to get down to 170. I took a year off the moto-racing and needed something to fill the competition void. I took up duathlons (run-ride-run) and ended up doing pretty alright. I'm pretty strong on the bike, I'm ok in the run.

My last one of the year, 5 weeks ago, i was 15th out of 123 entrants and i was 6th fastest on the bike overall. 5km run, 20km ride, 2.5km run and it took me 1hr13m.

I don't do enough right now. I do walk my dogs for 30-45 minutes most every day. I used to run 4 miles in the mornings two to three times a week, and in decent weather I bike a couple of hours on the trail in the morning on Saturdays or Sundays.

I try not to pig out and eat decent, too. And I've cut out most caffeine to lower my blood pressure (per my gp's advice). In the winter time I do some cross-country skiing when there's enough snow on the ground. And I have a recumbent bike and weights at home that I use when I get annoyed with my lack of fitness.

In my experience, the best physical workout for burning energy is judo. Cross-fit training is the latest thing I've seen that really does a good job of helping one stay in shape. Good luck with your P90X workouts.

Hit the gym atleast 3times a week, and focus on 2 body parts a session, and have a whole day devoted to legs. Shoulders and arms are rather sore today lol

I do crossfit, it is a real pain in the ass, but it will get you in shape.

There are three rules I live my life by:
1. No matter where you are or what you are doing always look cool.
2. Don't be a pussy
3. When in doubt refer to rule number 1
