Just Got Pulled Over

As it says I just got pulled over but it was for using my dads truck to tow my car with a tow strap Apparently the state police think its unsafe. Towed it from MD to about 3/4 the way where I wanted to go, made it about 50-60 miles. He was shocked I made it that far but my dad and I have done it before. Being a strap expert and all he didnt think the 20,000 lb strap could pull my stratus :headshake.

It was pretty funny he got behind us for a bit then next to us, then behind us, then kinda cut me off before he finally decided to pull us over. He seemed pretty surprised because he stopped in front of us not behind us and never asked for proof of ownership or insurance. Also we have dealer plates which just baffled his mind. He just kept coming back to it being unsafe. I could tell he was trying to come up with something to give us a ticket for but we didn't argue much so he didn't. Unfortunately I had to leave it there so I can get it towed for real

That's a shame...It's no problem over in the UK, it's especially liked by poor people as they get their rich friends to tow them around England.

Cheaper on gas that way.

That sucks.

I'd just circle back about an hour from now with the straps....

Yeah that one crossed my mind but I saw him sitting at Wawa talking to his friends, donuts and coffee so they might have been there a while.

Tow strap HMMMMMMMMMMM I think that’s why they call it that. Tow strap. Me and my buddies can pull safely as long as you now the does and don’ts. Sound like you have had some experience. I would fight it unless it’s not too much. Maybe invest in a tow dolly. Glad you mad it safe.

Man, I towed my sister in law's car 160 miles down the interstate. Strap broke once and we tied a knot in it to make the last 10 miles.
