Two people I know that have had Fieldsheer 1 piece leathers suits were not happy with them. One guy was a professional stunter (made money doing it) and the stitching in the suit just fell apart. The other guy was a club road racer and he had one low-speed low side on a track at about 30 MPH and the stitching just blew on the sides and where the arms joined the torso. I think you get what you pay for. It depends on what you want from a leather suit- Durability, lightweight, bling factor etc. Kangaroo leather is the lightest. Cow leather is heavier but more durable. As important as the material is the stitching. Kevlor thread is best. I have 2 piece Vanson Leathers with full armor. Other quality brands in decreasing costs are RS Taichi, Dainese, Joe Rocket, and Teknic. Of course in any brand they have low end and high end suits. If you want a custom suit Syed leathers is not a bad way to go. http://www.syedleathers.com/

I have an older (and I mean older) Fieldsheer one piece suit and it is made of a way heavier grade of leather than the newer suits. No comparison there. I tossed my bike down the track in about a 45/50 mph turn and the suit and me (forturnately) came through the ordeal pretty much unscathed. Very little damage to the leather after the slide.

My sons both have mid price Teknics and I would reckon they are just fair quality. They both have been down the track with their suits. The youngest son's crash was about 60 mph mostly a slide on the pavement then the dirt. The suit faired pretty well. The oldest son's first crash was was slower but harder impact. The suit did it's job but looked pretty rough afterwards some seam damage and leather was torn. The quality of the leather in this suit is questionable. And though they are the same suit model there is definitely a difference in the leather quality. They feel different.

i just bought the revo 2 piece and havent had the opportunity to test the durability in a crash. the both pieces fit nice and looks good. the ventilation is good. i have worn it on hot days and has a perforated front and cloth in arms. was surprised at the amount of air getting through. jacket is medium weight leather. i have tried on some icons i thought had lead built in they were so heavy. all about how much you want to spend. the armour and padding in the revo is ample and stays put. i got the black and grey.
