death comes in 3's

Jim Lindemann passes

A super nice guy Alawys helped out at the track answered every stupid question I had more than once.

From his website:

Jim Lindemann started in the suspension business back in the 1970s, working for Fox shocks. His innovative concepts quickly caught on in the world of off-road and on-road motorcycle racing.

With his assistance, riders including Eddie Lawson, Wayne Rainey, Kevin Schwantz and Doug Polen have won AMA Superbike races and championships.

Lindemann's work has helped racers succeed in disciplines ranging from motocross to IndyCars to dirt track.

Working from his personal 1,600 square foot shop, modifying stock components or machining new components from scratch, Lindemann has tuned and developed suspensions for some of the most sophisticated racing equipment on the tracks today.

*removes hat*

The world needs more people like him. In my opinion, he work epitomizes the work of the modern artisan, and I have boundless respect for him.

His 1958 version of "Autumn Leaves" was the only instrumental ever to reach number one on the Billboard pop charts.

Heck ya!!!!!!!!! Look for it in my record collection now Now where is the repeat button on this darn record player.
