Dahm Harley Riders

How many people here signal to an on coming Harley (or Crusier)? Why is it they act like a bad ass and completely ignore you? Anybody know why that is?

Honestly around here i haven't passed a bike that hasn't waved yet.. some that i didn't even think would see me around the cages have...if they signal..i do too..unless doing so would be unsafe..(rare)

we all have 2 wheels..sport or not.we share alot of the same loves..wether they want to admit it or not..

it wouldn't ruin my ride if they didn't wave....who cares?

Most do wave, I do find it funny though (and a bit Ironic) that the same guys I sell bikes to don't wave when I ride by, if they only knew I bet they would wave:-)

If they don't wave back to me they get the finger. Some are to busy holding on because their bikes vibrate so much they can't take their hands off the bars!!!!! LMFAO!!!!!!

Im pretty sure that most those hardley riders are first time riders and are scared to lift their other hand off the bar

I usually wave

I try to wave to all , but the majority of those who do not reply are on cruisers. The next largest group of non-respondents are on Goldwings (or the like). My guess is that the new age Harley riders/poseurs (not saying that every Harley rider is a poseur, obviously--during break-in I had a very nice stoplight-to-stoplight conversation about my 10 with a guy riding something black and orange, with flames and ape hangers) aren't even aware of this most basic tenet of moto-culture etiquette. Which makes their failure to get it about waving all the more ironic.

And hilarious--I can barely keep myself from bursting into laughter in my helmet whenever I pass by a stern-faced dude in an immaculate leather biker costume who is too hard to wave at a sportbike rider.

GD

p.s. the one group of riders who seem to always wave are BMW riders.

I always wave and probably 50% of the time, regardless of bike make (cruisers/harleys outnumber sportbikes probably 3 or 4 to 1 around here) the other rider waves before I get a chance

Lets say somebody breaks into your house and you dont have a gun.How are you going to shoot them?
