Clavicle (Plate) Broke :(

Things were looking good almost 3 months and everything was back together, both the bike and my clavicles. Full range of movement, good as new or so I thought. I went out on a few short rides with my boy, nothing too long or hard. Then 11-23 I went out on a long ride with a friend rode off and on all day. The last ride of the day and I was on my way back to camp when I felt a pop in my left shoulder. The plate broke. Never had any get-offs just the vibration from riding. Two days later I got X-rays and this it what I saw. So I worked for a few weeks and then back to Houston this past Tuesday for another surgery to have it removed and replaced. Needless to say, it looks like I may have to wait quite a while before I can finally race.

BTW if anyone may be interested in my 2006 R6 track bike let me know it may have to go to pay bills.

Yeah it was a little bothersome trying to work (automotive tech) like that.

I was really looking forward to WERA this year. Maybe I can still make a few dates. If I have to choose, I want to race Miller and Chuckwalla Valley Raceway (My Birthday weekend )

We'll see what the insurance will pay for. I've still got a nice amount to go from from August.

Yeah leaving it in, that's the most common thing. I guess I could probably have it removed, but after having both left and right plated and a bone graft from my left tibia 8-08, and then the left redone and bone graft from the right tibia last week. I'm really burned on surgeries. Like they were fun to start with.
