AFX helmets?

already did a search nothing.

Anyone ever had one of these? right now I have a Icon helmet and the thing is heavy as hell and kills my neck so im lookin for a new one and ran across these 2 white ones that look badass. ive never rly heard much of AFX or wore one but their DOT and SNELL so that was a must. i dont want something thats gunna split on impact. but i wanna see if anyone has a review in general on the brand

Not bad looking but when it comes to helmets, you get what you pay for. And for $100, I'd expect it to split on impact. Basically one step above wearing a colander on your head!

I'd say that there's not a whole lot of R&D that goes into the cheaper brands of helmets. At least not as much as a top of the line brands. From my experience, with the less expensive helmets, the crash protection may be satisfactory but they may be extremely heavy or they may be really loud.

I had a scorpion they are quiet and breath pretty well but are on the heavy side, they are good helmets for the price. my buddy HAD a afx helmet and he hated it but helmets are one of those things that each person feels differently about.
