600cc bike decision

Hey guys, been a rider of the kawa 500r for a while now and i think its upgrade time. I'm deciding between to upgrade to 600cc but am unsure as to which one i should get. Being an ardent kawa fan from the beginning, i'm thinking about the kawa zx6rr. What do you guys think ? Is it worth it? What about the suzuki 6's, and the r6. I'm mostly looking for the performance edge at the track. Any help appreciated.
PS, scoured the net for info about the zx6rr on forums but no one seems to own these>!

To be perfectly honest...and I wouldn't admit what I'm about to write anywhere else, all of the 600's by the main manufacturers are competent, capable bikes. They are all extremely good bikes and what it boils down to is personal prefference. Some people like Yamaha, some people like Honda, and the smart ones like Kawasaki :D . The best bike of the class is mostly subjective for most riders. Find the one that makes you go "Wow" when you see/ride it.

The Kawasaki 6R (636) has more HP and torque than the 6RR (600). With the new updates for '04, the 6RR is now on a par with the others (R6, CBR600RR, GSX-R600) in terms of performance, but has more features. For street riding and track days, the 6R would be a strong front runner. But all of the new 600's are so good, pick the one that trips you trigger.

thanks

thanks for the replies guys, I really miss the black color the zx6r used to have, i wonder why they discontinued that color!!? Anyway, you say that the 04 zx6rr makes as much HP as the zx6r now? Please clarify on that!! Thanks again
PS, definitely sticking to a kawa, just deciding between 6r or 6rr...

The 6R is a 636, so it makes about 5 more hp and a few ft-lbs torque
The 6RR (true 600)is a little more of a race bike, but the specs are very close.

thanks for the info kawiman, the zx6r is just looking better and better. I've been reading around the 6r forums, and people are saying the 2004 6rr is as fast as the 6r...? is ther any truth to that?
