180 mph by a COP!

MAn, I almost went to jail! Yesterday, I was top speeding it with a friend on an R1. we were in it for a while, I saw 176, a turn came up, so I took it at 160, then I got back on it until I saw 180 indicated. Happy with that, I started slowing down, and I noticed that the blazer that I passed had a mesh seperating the rear and front seats... SH&*! I look down and I'm still doin 130. I get stopped and asked how fast I was goin. "I wasn't paying attention to the speed" Was the best answer. I got a ticket for 85 in a 75! I think I'm pretty lucky. "man, those kawasaki's sure do fly" was the last thing he said to me. That's too close for me!

Lucky man. I have a couple of buddies that were playin' around on a divided four lane here. One has a newer corvette (and a 954) and the other was on a 94 fzr 600. The guy on the fizzer blew past the vette so the vette returned the favor and so on an so forth. Anyway a patrol car was radarin' off of an on ramp and clocked the fizzer at over 120. The cop passed the vette which had slowed down but still doing close to 100 and went after the bike. My buddy didn't see the lights and just kept crusin. Long story short, he finally got pulled over and the cop told him to hold out his wrist and then he slapped it and said "slow down". That was it.

now the kicker, my buddy's battery had just shit the bed so the officer helped him push start the bike so he could leave!

you are one lucky dude. Going to jail doesn't help your record either so I would feel very lucky if I were you.

no kidding. I think I need to sell this thing. When I', on it, I don't have an off switch. It's just too easy to go retarded speeds with the acceleration this thing is capable of! I've lucked out so far, but you'd think that somewhere along the line, something bad is gonna happen, whether it's jail, or a nasty high side...My friend highsided last week going about 50 mph. He is alive, but really banged up! I have his helmet at work to show everyone the importance of propper gear.
