ZX10RR vs ZX10R worth it?

Hey all, Been awhile since I played Green...Currently a BMW rider.

Anyone hazard a guess what a salvaged title 2017 RR with less than 2k on it would be worth?

Im sorely tempted...

Depends on the extent of the damage. Post some pics and details. Also asking price

I passed and bought a new one.

IN hindsight, for a race/track day bike a salvaged RR would be a fine deal if the price was spot on.
Figure a new RR costs about $18k. A standard R about $14k.
For me to want to buy a salvaged bike it would need to be about half the price of a new one, or about $10k.

Figure the wheels are worth almost $3k if intact (this bike they were not), the Engine, and suspension is worth about $3k. If the body work is toast (another $2k to replace) and the frame is good $1k...... That's $7k in parts alone.

You have to do your own cost analysis, but unless youre looking to run the kit cams, I don't see the benefit of an RR over an R, ESPECIALLY since a salvage title makes the collectability of the bike worth 0.

From personal experience, Salvage bikes are just so much harder to sell once its time to upgrade. Having said that, buying new is super expensive to buy and build. Best is to find something on one of the forums. Decide what you want and keep shopping.
