For you flashed guys, does your speedometer show your speed when you get above 186ish?

No the speedos stop but the bike will obviously keep accelerating, but when i am hitting 186 my gps is reading 174 real speed, which is give or take a few about the same on all, but unless you have altered the final drive ratios.

Thank you, that is a good point, I need to get a healer for the accuracy of the speedometer. Is there any known way to make the stock speedometer accurate and read out past the limited 186? Not that I plan on riding near max speed often anyway, just curious.

No Bro they are that way because there top speed is supposed to be limited. Speedo healer is the way to go.

Does heal tech make a speedo healer for a 2016? Don't see one.

Just going back to your original question relating to flashing of the ECU, if I recall correctly the Woolich software for my Gen 4 has an option to correct the factory speedo error. Obviously this is not calibrated but it removes the built in 5% (or whatever it is) 'safety' buffer the bike has stock.
Also, altering the final drive ratios won't effect the speedo as takes its data from wheel speed sensor, as opposed to a pick up in the gearbox or crank angle sensor like older bikes.
