I see logic behind it. Also, wsbk bikes Rea and Sykes used MWR xxl intake. What benefit exactly is hard to tell. Every bike woud react diffeently. I can tell for my bike, it is fairly modded so hope for the best.

Those supplier maps (showing power gains) are pretty subjective. The reason I say that is because they're likely showing you a Completely stock bike vs a Completely stock + intake bike. More air on a stock bike would add power, yes. If you look at Sprint's air filter data for the F1 they claim the same thing; 2-3HP gains (don't quote me) solely from bolting it on. Now that IS dyno proven with those parameters BUT I haven't seen how much power is to be gained from putting an F1 on a previously tuned bike. So, I don't think the supplier is BS-ing anyone with those numbers, but I think you're only going to see that 2-3HP on an already modded bike unless you very tediously dyno/street tune it.

That dyno is likely some bone stock de-restricted or Euro spec bike.

When in doubt... send it!

That I can agree with tenfold. They're claiming, what, and additional 2HP or so ON top of the 200HP their bike was already making on the dyno That's bananas.

SBU runs the motomaxx stacks on their bike but tbh I think they've tuned their bike around all the pros and cons of short stacks. I think they could have left the stacks alone completely and they're bike would still make the same power across the range after all the time they've spent fine tuning... Not to mention the price on those stacks is outrageous.

When in doubt... send it!

I dont follow your reasoning....

he showed a normal bike making 183 then 186hp...

It's a before/after run. They're stating +3HP with the enlarged intake. I'm saying they're probably showing a (euro spec) bone stock bike vs bone stock with their expensive intake to exaggerate their results.

Yes it will. And that's what they're advertising. I guarantee you if they put the same intake on a full bolt on bike they would gain little to nothing. When the bike is completely stock, with more potential to see gains, it's easy to exaggerate your product. Call it exaggeration, exploitation, misleading customers... idc what you want to call it... I call it BS.

if you change 1 variable and it makes a change then it works....

what is a full bolt on bike for you?
have you done dyno work, changing parts? I have and usualy thats how its done, you change only one thing.

motomaxx vel stacks where tested that way showing no results, I also tested like 4 other stacks I made myself showing CERO improvement...(lots of plastic welding).

No! It doesn't! If you took 5 misc parts that made +1HP improvement over stock you're NOT going to make +5HP when they're all installed at once that final number is going to vary, and that's what I'm trying to point out when saying that prev. graph is exaggerated/misleading.

I don't even know where Motomaxx got their numbers from either. 2HP on top of a 201.4HP Gen5 just because of some short stacks is a bold claim lol. Not surprised they make zero improvements if not make the bike worse lol.

When in doubt... send it!
