Suss a few of this guys videos out. Should give you a basic understanding to start asking the finer questions.

But basically getting your geometry right is setting your sags.

+1 Dave makes things easy to understand!!

To a racer, geometry means rake/trail, fork offset and swingarm angle numbers.

To a street rider, geometry pretty much means you have lowered the front and/or raised the rear.

Try looking thought older posts on here to see what others have done to their Gen 2's, might give you an idea of changes to make. But, make sure the previous owner didn't make any changes and I wouldn't make any ride height changes until you have set sag and had a bit of a chance to get to know the bike.

05 ZX10r "the Mongrel": GP Suspension rebuilt forks, LE Penske double shock, 05-06 ZX6rr shock linkage, Brembo RCS MC, Nissin calipers (best mod for this bike!!!), Attack rearsets, Motion Pro Revolver throttle kit, ASV clutch lever, Champs sliders, smoked Zero Grav DB, Ti caliper bolts, CF fender, Renthal grips, Speedo healer, Maviryk MDA123 batt, Supersprox +3 520, That's it..... For now
