Stiction help, gen 1.

So Brad Stokes from Ohlins set my bike up this weekend and noticed some stiction in the front forks. Ive heard this was an issue and some guys even re tooled their own spacers to correct it. My quection is could I use a washer shim on both sides between the spacer and fork and what thickness would the shims need to be?
