Muffler size...

hello All

just a quickie...Ive been thinking of chopping down the size of my Arrow muffler...Ive noticed a few race team doing so or buy Gp version

I'm just wondering will effect overall performance.

The exhaust system in your picture isn't a cut off muffler, it's arrow top of the line evo racing system

Chopping down your can wouldn't effect it much (as in losing power)

The effect on engine tuning will be insignificant. The effect on noise level will be very large.

Personally, when coming over the crest of a hill, I'd rather have 50/50 odds of the cop having the radar pointed in my direction than 100% ...

If you do track days, some of them have noise limits (around here, about a third of the tracks have noise limits that are enforced).


Helibars, MRA screen, Ohlins damper, reversed shift pattern, sorted suspension, braided lines, Michelin Pilot Power, all else stock 'coz it's fast enough!

It wont effect performance enough to notice like others said, but I will get a lot louder the more you cut off.
